ON-BUS INTELLIGENT Transport System

BDC: Bus Driver Console
The Invel Bus Driver Console acts as a full time vehicle assistance system, encompasses GPS navigation, Route Selection, Controls for Passenger Information and Announcement System, Display of Security Camera Network and Reverse Camera, Vehicle Health Diagnostics and Monitoring as well as management of wireless connectivity with the Depot Wi-Fi backhaul.

VHDM: Vehicle Health Monitoring and Diagnostics
Overall display of vehicle health and diagnostic information of engine status, electrical system, vehicle safety and performance, transmission and electronics data of CNG and Diesel buses.

PIS: Passenger Information System
Passenger Information System for Front, Sides, Rear and Inside of the Bus with integrated Announcement System, can be integrated with Bus Driver Console unit or can be used with a standalone Display controller.

AVL: Automatic Vehicle Location System
GPS and GPRS based integrated AVL enables the Bus driver to get automated routes on GPS map as well as realtime vehicle location. This Information can be sent over the internet to a GPS server to enable remote monitoring of vehicle positioning.

SCN: Security Camera Network
Security Camera network with High resolution cameras to monitor bus interiors as well as reverse camera, integrated with the Bus Driver Console unit.

SCU: Single Control Unit
Single Control Unit, a highly rugged vehicle computer manages all the operations of the Intelligent Transport System, collection and processing of realtime data from the CAN bus, GPS data, Back Haul connectivity, Security Camera Integration as well as OBITS data bus.

Onboard Ticketing Terminals / Smart Card
Ticketing Terminals and Smart Card technology enables prepaid fare services and advanced passenger services into road transport.

SPECIAL FEATURES OF ON-BUS INTELLIGENT Transport System

SUB-GHZ MESH BACKHAUL
Buses entering or parked inside the Depot can now get connected to the backhaul, which further connects to the IT backbone of the depot. This is automatically done using a Sub-Ghz based mesh which wirelessly connects every bus in the depot to the central IT backbone. This means that the IT person sitting in the control room can wirelessly fetch VHDM information from the bus and update system info when needed. This comes handy as the total number and basic info of buses parked or entering/leaving the Depot can be tracked in realtime without requiring a Wi-Fi backhaul.
